Mango House was our first stay in Sri Lanka after a long haul flight and what a lovely, peaceful and rejuvenating haven it was! With a beautiful garden full of the sounds of nature, and the kind and attentive host we really didn't want to leave! Breakfast and dinner were also excellent.

Perfect location, beautiful rooms, sitting area, everything looks new and well taken care of. Rooms are big and TOP clean. Breakfast is big and very tasty. Hosts are wonderful people, very calm and very kind, also very helpful. Shower is with good pressure and hot water (plenty of hot water which is the most important), everything is clean, nice balcony, hairdryer, little soap, shampoo and shower gel. A/C is working perfect and so is the fan. It is close to all attractions and restaurants but also very calm and quiet at night. We recommend to everyone!

We stayed at Mario Family Villa for our first night in Sri Lanka and what a warm welcome we got! Besides the great atmosphere, the accommodation has all you need. The house is very clean, the shower is warm and the airconditioning works perfectly. The kindness of the family is heart warming, they are very helpfull and the breakfast (coffee/tea, fresh fruit, 3 different pancakes) was delicious. If we could, we would defenitely stay here again! Thank you so much!!!

My partner and I had the best stay at Star Canal Cottage. After receiving a great tuk tuk tour around Negombo from Leon at the start of our trip, we stayed at his guesthouse before our departure too due to his friendliness and consideration. Our room very clean, spacious and light, with a powerful hot shower in the bathroom. The location is great, close to the city centre with restaurants nearby, but down a quiet canal road to enjoy the peace. We read and listened to the birds on the terrace during the day, while drinking home made lime juice before an excellent dinner of home-made prawns from Leon. A wonderfully kind, funny, and diligent host (and now friend), we will recommend Star Canal Cottage to anyone wishing to visit Sri Lanka :)

I was welcomed by lady of the Villa, Jenifer who was very polite, friendly and smiley. The room was very clean with nicely made up bed, very comfortable with AC and Wi-Fi. Location is favourable around 10min on foot to beach and close by restaurants and bars. On checkout day I had delicious Srilankan breakfast and it was nice place to be there.
