We loved everything at Dandelion property. Our room was big, comfortable, clean, bright. The hotel is located near the main road but it was quite silent, and we could sleep very well. Generator of the hotel worked very well during the power cuts. Very nice to have a working fridge keeping our water and fruits fresh ! The owner is the kindest we've met in Sri Lanka. Very good english, very good manners. Professional. Good tips. The room was cleaned during our stay with new sheets and towels. 100% recommended, probably our best homestay in the country.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Spacious rooms, perfect location and friendly staff. It was a really calm environment but still closed to the beach.

The stay was very nice, clean and comfortable. I liked the room balcony and it's view of plant field. The room was really big and clean. The beach and market was few minutes walk. The place was peaceful and the staff really helped me in early check-in and also I was able to use the common space to wait and keep my luggage after check out as well. The breakfast was also nice. I highly recommend the stay.

The property is located 1minute walk from the beach. It is beautifully clean and staff is helpful and friendly. Beds are comfortable. Airconditioned room. Breakfast was generous and scrumptious. We had a lovely stay!

Undoubtedly the warmest welcome we have experienced in many years of holidays.. Owner Melani, her husband and their staff (Bavee is a real hero) are so friendly and really do everything to make you feel at home. Our apartment was very spacious and very tastefully decorated. The garden is a gem. Breakfast and dinner are very tasty. The only downside I can mention is that the sun loungers by the pool need replacing. The villa is quietly located, 5 minutes by tuktuk to the center of Unawatuna or the beaches (the hotel's tuktuk service costs you 600 LKR). We are at the beginning of our roundtrip through Sri Lanka. Still 8 hotels to go but we fear that the best stay is already behind us: the fantastic Villa Gaetano!

We had an excellent stay! The accommodation is very well equipped and has everything you need. It also features an incredible, lush garden — very natural and peaceful. The beach is just a 1-minute walk away. The host was very kind and helpful. Highly recommended!

Tucked away down a laneway too narrow for a car, the Village Inn is simple and low-budget, but doesn’t disappoint. Clean, with comfortable bed and outside furniture, aircon, fan, simple bathroom with hot water, fridge, and clothes hanging space. A simple mosquito net hangs over the bed, and I recommend having some mosquito repellent on hand to keep them at bay. The owners are friendly and very helpful, and also run a simple shop at the end of their laneway. Squirrels and occasionally monkeys will be seen from the balcony. Close to multiple restaurants and a great family-friendly beach, although you may be able to get a simple in-house breakfast if you pre-arrange it with the owners. Recommended for the budget conscious traveller.
