Absolutely amazing hotel, very clean and spacious rooms, perfect location (5 mins from ticket office, 15 from polonnaruwa sacred city entrance), friendly stuff and hotel owner. Sahan Guest House was an awesome find! The welcome was warm and genuine — I was even greeted with a refreshing welcome drink, which was a great touch after a long trip. The room was super clean, air-conditioned, and really comfortable. WiFi was fast and reliable, which was perfect for planning my day trips and staying connected. The location is perfect — right in the city, close to everything, and just a short ride to the ancient city. Super convenient if you’re exploring the cultural sites nearby. There’s also fast food and other restaurants nearby if you’re craving a quick bite. Honestly, the hospitality here is top-notch. Sahan and the team really care about their guests. Very warm welcome. The host is super cool, he made us feel comfortable in his establishment. Ravi took the time to inform us about our itinerary before we left the hotel. The breakfasts were very good and plentiful. We recommend this hotel!

Room is very big, with comfortable beds. Very quiet location. Hot water works very well, there is even a toothpaste. WiFi works very well. We had no mosquitoes. To the historical part you can cycle by bicycle , there is a path, you don’t have to cycle on the highway. The juices are very tasty.

A lovely family that welcomes you as if you’re part of their own. They are incredibly kind and open-hearted. The breakfasts were delicious, with a choice of either Western or local options. They also offer bike rentals, which is the best way to explore the area since it’s quite a large complex. The location is very convenient, right next to the historic site.

The location and room was perfect. The owner, Shirana prepared delicious breakfast and dinner. We spent time with her and her husband Sunil altogether during dinner and had a lot of fun. They made us feel at home. We highly recommend this place! :)
