Great hospitality and such a unique setting. Food was amazing, we were not expecting that. The staff booked our safari and packed breakfast and lunch for us. What more could you ask for.

We had a wonderful stay at Kurumba Lodge. The staff were very kind from the start, especially the young man who welcomed us and helps with the family business – always smiling and super friendly. We did a half-day safari organized through them. There was a bit of confusion about the guide being charged separately, but it was easily resolved on site, and the staff were very understanding. Our room was very clean, with air conditioning, and the lodge is in a very peaceful location. The meals were 1500 LKR per person/meal. The Kothu and rice we had were delicious! (we arrived there by taxi driver) Many thanks to the team for making our stay so pleasant.

Oh my without this place i dont think i could have done a safari. They helped me with EVERYTHING. From explaining how i could get there and sending a tuktuk to pick me up from the busstop to packing a delicious breakfast AND helping me find someone to do it with so it was possible in my budget. I appreciate this so much. The pillows were honestly the best i ever slept on it felt like sleeping in the clouds. The room was so nice and cool and honestly i almost wanted to snooze my alarm for '5 more minutes' before remembering i booked a morning safari :) Everyone was so nice im so glad i choose this place, they really worked with me to make this a great experience and it certainly was!

Very clean. Everything was new and it semelles amazing. The caretaker was very polite and cooked is incredible dinner. If you want to do the Safari, this place is perfect. We booked a Safari with getyourguide but you can also book directly with them.

Excellent location, few steps from the gate of the National Park! Room was very comfortable and very clean. Bed was super comfortable too and mosquito net provided. Air con was a welcome relief from the heat. Bathroom was also spacious and clean, hot water was great. The owner was the sweetest man, his nephew messaged to ask if I wanted dinner, I declined, but the owner knocked on my door to give me fruit and ice cream so I wouldn’t go hungry at night. So sweet! His nephew also provided me with a welcome drink and even took me on the safari. Highly recommend doing the safari with them, they were the most affordable and they really considered what animals I wanted to see and tried their best to find them. The breakfast, lunch and snacks were so good! I was very well fed! They were very accommodating to me and really put in effort to help me when my card had issues. I will definitely stay with them again.

The location is incredible right next to the river and the territory is very clean. We slept on a tree house and it was really cosy with nature sounds. We stayed two nights and did a full day safari that was organized by a host. In the early morning we took a walk around the village and enjoyed local hospitality. Definitely recommend this hidden gem!

Just about 100 meters from the entrance to Wilpattu wildlife national park. The owner is and experienced tour guide and happily will tell you about the wildlife to be found, both in and out of the park. Just by the entrance to the park is a trail going around a beautiful lake where families come for a bath and swim. We were warned not to not to walk around outside after dark to avoid unpleasant encounters with wild animals. I would defintely go back there to stay if I am in the area.
