Our stay in this house was good. The rooms were spacious, and a big advantage was the fully equipped kitchen available at all times. There was also a clothes dryer, a hairdryer, and a living room with a TV. It was a great base for visiting the nearby wadis. The apartment was clean and beautiful.

Fig Shades is a great place to relax and a great base to visit Wadi Shab and Wadi Tiwi/Mibam. Mr. Santosh is a very kind and helpful host! He helped me arrange a trip to Wadi Mibam at a great price by Omani standards, which is great because the road to get there is difficult. There are also 3 restaurants nearby (10 min walk) as well as grocery shops (5-10 min walk). The garden is beautiful and the swimming pool is also nice. When you reach the big tree on the side of the road (the one that’s shown on Google street view), keep going a few meters towards the flyover and you’ll find a ‘Fig Shades’ signboard. If you can’t read Arabic, it’s the hotel next to 'Tiwi Omantel Telephone Exchange’ on Google Maps.

The villa is amazing, very big rooms with an stunning view. You see the sea from the room. Nice terrace with swimming pool to relax and eat. They even provided take away if you want for dinner or you have a kitchen if you prefer to cook. Access from the terrace straight to the beach. 2 min walking to Wadi Shab. Sami was very helpful and kind. He even help us with our next trip to the mountains. I will definitely come back to this place. Very good value for money.

I only have love for this place. It’s a beautiful property straight on the beach which was basically like a private beach during our whole 4day stay. I definitely recommend the seaview room (unless you’re on a very tight budget) - it’s just a tiny bit more expensive than other rooms, but never before have I had such an excellent view (floor to ceiling corner windows make up two walls of the room). This place can easily compete with resorts (and win). The owner (and staff in general) was super friendly and gave us great tips on visiting local sights. Breakfast was amazing. The location was ideal for visiting beaches, wadis and Bimmah sinkhole by car and there were enough cafes within a 10min drive. Wadi Shab was basically just a walk away.
