I loved my stay in Merceraria de Vila. It was right in the centre of Ponte de Lima you could not get a better location for the Camino. The beds were great breakfast was perfect. I realy enjoyed my stay.

This was a definitely the best choice we did to book in Gerês Guest House, bcs we booked in October, it was raining, it was foggy and the waterfall in the morning , was magical; inlove with the bedroom view, also the Guest house is near everything that we want to explore .

This is a beautiful property on a hillside in a very picturesque part of the region. Very close to the main highway (although tricky to find - make sure to get directions from the host). You have the entire house more or less to yourself with a beautiful kitchen to cook in if you want. The nearby town Arcos de Valdevez is small but very pretty and has some good restaurants (check out O Pote for local cuisine). The host (who only speaks French and Portuguese) was very helpful and even did some laundry for me and left some of their fresh figs to eat! Very quiet and peaceful location but handy for day trips to the park.
