The host, Anita, was very friendly and kind. I had a little difficulty in getting to the place because I carelessly missed the map she sent. However, she kindly came to pick me up in the town, and very helpful to arrange the reservation for whale watching boat. The house is located in a calm residential neighborhood, and the room was spacious, neat and clean. The breakfast was perfect and tasty. The cat, Milky, can be a best friend if you are a cat lover. If I’ll visit Hermanus again, I’m sure to stay here.

Spectacular. There is no other word. We travel a lot, but once in a while, an accommodation manages to exceed all expectations. This one did. The lovely furnished room, the bed with view of the ocean, and even of whales. The very, very decadent breakfast. The little personal touches like a small toiletry bag. The staff, the bar.. It feels like home away from home, but a thousand times more luxurious. A true treat!

Great stay at Whale Coast Ocean Villa. Superb bedroom, fully furnished. The house (8 bedrooms) is very well protected, you really feel safe there. There is a private parking for your car, inside the property. For dinner, you need to have a car to go to the city center (for example), all the restaurants are there. There is a full breakfast, with buffet and ''à la carte'' menu. Excellent. We had a friendly chat with our host who made appreciated efforts to speak english so that, us, French, could easily understand. Thanks for that ! We need to come back in Hermanus in Aug or Sept (in 2 years time) to see the whales, they are apparently next door to the house :)

    I looked at the previous reviews and everyone rated the breakfast highly, which made me curious... Upon tasting the breakfast, I agree with the other reviews lol, the breakfast was amazing. Steven is a great host, and the room was comfy with modern finishes. The guesthouse was walking distance from all places one would wish to visit and I could see how the pool area would be desirable in summer.

    We really enjoyed our stay in this guesthouse. It is located in a quiet place but very close to the town centre and with a shortcut access to the famous cliff path. Stefan and Nikki are very welcoming hosts and helped us a lot with valuable recommendations on how to spend time. The room has new equipment and is very comfortable. We were there in hot time, but there was always fresh wind from the ocean in the night. Also, very delicious breakfast with generous portions. Definitely recommend this place!

    Exceptionally friendly hosts Natascha and Devon. Great breakfast with multiple fresh fruits, egg choices, fresh yoghurts and cereals. All blessed by a great ocean view. Welcome mini bar in room, airco properly working for hot days, little things taken care of and deliciously smelling fynbos soap & lotion. Gated parking at the guesthouse, a few minutes walking from the center.

    Such a warm and gentle hostess. Very quiet and thus perfect for relaxation. A beautiful pool area and friendly atmosphere. The house is located away from the hectic city centre which can still be reached in walking distance in a short time and wonderful walk along the coast.
