They went the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable; we were welcomed with a free mulled wine which made us relax into an unfamiliar place. The rooms and bathrooms were spotless. The Hotel Föhrenhof is situated in a peaceful area on the edge of a forest in Farchant, just 3 km from the Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The sun terrace and garden offer a beautiful view of the Zugspitz and Wetterstein mountains. The lady at the reception is super sweet, very very friendly, kind and joyful. And then is the cook of the Gasthof, very friendly man and the schnitzel sandwich he gave us as welcome was perfect because right after that we hit the mountains just before sunset. The breakfast is amazingly good (please don't miss their self-made marmelade, cake and yoghurt), and we also had the opportunity to meet another member of the staff who also was super friendly and kind. The place has a beautiful decoration and the room is spatious, clean, the place is very quiet, and the bed comfortable.

Close to zugspitze, Neuschwanstein, innsbruck, Imst, etc.. The little village was very charming and even had a waterfall within walking distance. The owners were very welcoming and pleasant. The breakfast was fantastic. My husband and I will definitely be back!! Loved everything about it.
