Silvana was a wonderful host. She prepared a to-go breakfast for us when we went to see the penguins along with preparing a delicious hot breakfast for us on the other days of our trip. The beds were comfy and overall the hostal was very clean. The location is good and close to the center of town. Overall, loved this place and would definitely stay here again.

Our stay in this wonderful place was great. We loved the decor so much - made us feel cozy and warm. It's really impressive how much character they've managed to pack into this house, with several nice common areas that allow you to relax and get some light even when it rains. Breakfast was very nice, too. The shower was hot and good, the bed was comfortable, and the heating worked perfectly well - what more could one ask for after a few rough days at the Torres del Paine park? They also offer packed breakfast for those who are going to the park in the early morning hours.

The stunning views of the mountains, a lake and a llama add to the vibe. But, what really stands out is the hospitality of Carlos and his wife. It has all the essence of a family owned and run boutique. Carlos spent over 3 hours, during our time there, helping us plan our activities in great detail across the park. As a bonus, do check out the stunning pictures he has shot of the region for the last 20 years.

Fabien is perhaps the friendliest and most welcoming host you will ever meet. Picked us up from the bus station after a late arrival. Dropped us in town early morning for a tour. Gave us excellent advice and recommendations for around town. Sad we couldn't stay longer.

Hostal Fernando de Magalhaes offers accommodation in the district of Cerro de la Cruz in Punta Arenas. All rooms are fitted with a flat-screen TV with cable channels. Very clean, cosy and had everything we needed. Arturo the host was extremely helpful and accommodating, even prepared us some snacks the night before in lieu of the breakfast as we were leaving very early for an excursion.
