The hostess is very communicative, Gloria makes your stay pleasant due to the tours and advices she offers, the tours were guided by her husband, Sergio who speaks English as well, has lots of knowledge and the fact that you were in a private tour and transported from the Cabins to the tour and viceversa. Situated in Puerto Viejo and only less than 1 km from Negra Beach, Kalawala features accommodation with city views, free WiFi and free private parking. There is a private entrance at the guest house for the convenience of those who stay. It is possible for guests to sit outside and enjoy the property grounds. A very comfy place. Really close to the center of Puerto Viejo. Those who assisted me were extremely friendly and helped me with everything.

The pool is also very nice as well as the beach just across the street - it has shade, more sloths and feels safe for kids. We would have happily spent more time there!

We had a lovely stay here. The location was perfect, the host was so helpful and friendly. The room was perfect, the grounds are pretty. A special bonus- a yoga mat for guests to use! The common room gave us an opportunity to meet interesting international travelers.
