At the guest house, units have a seating area. Breakfast was excellent. Restaurant was also excellent but not open all the time. Pool was a nice area to chill. Beach only steps away.

Gloria and Sergio do everything possible to enable you a relaxing stay and wonderful memories. The rooms are super clean and fine, hammocks are great to relax and the breakfast is very hearty and cooked freshly. You can walk up Cerro Tortugero by yourself within 30 minutes with great views. A restaurant and a market are next door. We did the morning tour through the canals with Sergio, which was amazing! He provided great infos, we saw a lot! In addition he was driving and picking us up to and from the village Tortugero in the afternoon, which was super convenient. Thank you so much!

Situated in Puerto Viejo and only less than 1 km from Negra Beach, Kalawala features accommodation with city views, free WiFi and free private parking. There is a private entrance at the guest house for the convenience of those who stay. It is possible for guests to sit outside and enjoy the property grounds. Large house. Very well kept with everything you might need. Easy to check in / out. Nice balcony. Situated close to the center of the town and on top of a small bakery with very friendly staff.

The property is non-smoking and is set 5.8 km from Jaguar Rescue Center. I was impressed with the spotless absolutely clean room. Immaculate! I enjoyed a comfortable sleep and was treated so kindly by the owners, that I will not forget them. I definitely recommend Cabinas Hukats Secret Jungle. What a local gem!!!

The hosts are super welcoming, taking their time to show you around and help spot the animals (sloths, toucans, lizards etc). The pool is also very nice as well as the beach just across the street - it has shade, more sloths and feels safe for kids. We would have happily spent more time there!
