This family-run guest house is quietly situated in Stadt Wehlen in the heart of the Saxon Switzerland National Park, directly below the world-famous Bastei rock formation. It offers free WiFi. Location is quite and picturesque with convenient connections to everyone. Kitchen in the room is fully equipped with nice selection of cutlery and dishes. Breakfast is good with wide variety of cheese, spreads, breads, tee and delicious jams of crazy flavors. Also chairs in the breakfast hall are comfy provoking to sit and stare in the windows. Bed in the room is amazing, I haven't slept that good for ages! Compared to other hotels nearby parking facilities seem to be outstanding.

Comfortable, there is pretty much everything one needs for a stay and a lot of room for a family of 4. Location was a concern when we booked it, but actually it's 25 mins to Dresden and equally close to all top hiking locations. In general, compared to other options in the area feels like a great value for the money.

The location is ideal, just a few minutes walk in one direction from the train station with its excellent rail service and a few steps to the ferry giving access to the main village of Unterrathen with the Bastei and walks in the Saxon Switzerland region immediately facing the house. Use of both rail travel and ferry are free with the guest card provided. The buffet breakfast was superb and could not have been better. But what made the stay totally unique was the amazing view from the room window of the river and village together with the huge open-air model railway complex surrounding the house. The staff were consistently friendly and obliging.

The location was perfect for hiking. I came by public transport and found that I did not need a car to get around. I was able to walk just a few meters and I was on a hiking trial. But take note of the bus timetable if you want to go further, they are not very frequent. The breakfast was amazing and there was even enough food left over to create a sandwich for lunch on my hike. The restaurant food was also delicious and the owner was very friendly and welcoming. It was peaceful and the perfect atmosphere for a back to nature, hiking trip.

Das Personal ist sehr nett und freundlich, das Zimmer ist schön ausgestattet, hübsch und groß. Außer dem ausreichenden Frühstücksbuffet kann man nach dem Wunsch auch ein Rührei oder Spiegelei bekommmen. Die Pension liegt mitten in der Altstadt. Es ist sehr bequem für Stadtbummel, Essen und Einkaufen. Pirna ist gar nicht bekannt in Japan aber sie ist eine sehr historische und schöne Stadt, die uns sehr gefallen hat. Wir sind total zufrieden mit dem Aufenthalt in Pirna. Herzlichen Dank!
