I've stayed in many great places in Ecuador, but this one was the best of all of them. It's a wonderful old building, and so much thought was put into the traditional decoration, this is one of those rare places I could have called my home . The room was spacious, the communal kitchen with fridge very well equipped, the bathroom clean, and the communal room was cosy. I would have loved to sit by the fireplace on a cold night (but it wasn't cold). Quiet location but still very close to the bus station and the centre, and on top of that, Roberto is a great host. What can I say? It's perfect.

The room was nice, spacious and clean, and the location was good.We could wash the laundry and hang on the terrace. Nice view from the terrace. The breakfast was good, especially the juice , even if it was the same every single day.

Clean and comfortable, amazing family running the place. They were so wonderful and hospitable that I decided to stay an extra night. There’s a beautiful view from the rooftop, and it’s a peaceful place to stay.

Offering a restaurant, Hosteria Cabañas Del Lago is located in Otavalo, just steos from San Pablo lake. Free WiFi access and free private parking are available. The location is super fun with water sports and mini golf. We loved canoeing together as a family and jumping off the platform into the lake. There was a nice hang-out for those who didn't want to get in the water and they still felt part of the fun ordering drinks and food. We loved that they let us stay after check out to enjoy the property longer. Such a beautiful location and fun cabin feel while having all the comforts of home.

They have provided me na incredible studio equipped with a king size bed and a hydromassage tube. The garden is large and beautiful. There od also a nice area with a swimming pool, there. The wi-fi is strony and it works seamlesly in the entire object. I was also impressed with the breakfast.

A Guichuan couple own the lodge so we were able to enjoy traditional food for supper & learn more about the culture. The lodge is ideally located for hiking the lake trail. The building is new, designed to take full advantage of the magnificent views which span the volcano behind the lake all the way to the lights of Quito, in the far distance. The bed has lots of pillows & the most comfortable bed linen I’ve experienced. You sleep & wake to a full wall picture window of the panorama. The spacious bedroom also has a comfortable couch & wardrobe. The washroom is also large & there’s plenty of hot water. The common area has a wall of windows looking out on the panoramic view as well as a fireplace (which was wonderful coming in after a November hike) & a selection of great interpretative books. Our hosts speak good English & were incredibly helpful. Breakfast was huge with all local products - coffee, tea, bread, cheese, juice, fruits, homemade marmalade, eggs. Wifi was also good. It doesn’t get any better!

Loved our host, very sweet people and didn't mind me using Google translate to communicate better. He even took us to a few places most visitors probably don't think about. They prepared us dinner one night which was great! The house is super cute and clean, love the view to the lake. The town is safe to walk I'm at night. Make sure to go to Bambu Grill. Great place to eat.
