The accommodation itself is very clean, probably one of the cleanest accommodations I have been to anywhere in the world. World class cleanliness. Ashraf and his family even offers breakfast/dinner if you would be interested, if not then they are happy to give suggestions on places to eat that might suit you better. They also have tickets to Abu Simbel temple for you to buy so you don’t need to buy online or onsite, just a minor detail but nice to have the option. Ashraf also helped us to check if the public bus was going to Aswan, unfortunately it did not so we had to take the minibus which he helped to try and bargain the price as you as a tourist will pay a tourist price depending on your bargaining skills. The accommodation is maybe 10 min of walk to the temple and 10 min to the center, so very good located if you want to explore Abu Simbel by foot.

He also helped us by talking to the bank teller to break down large notes and took us to a restaurant with great vegetarian food. He also prepared us a vegetarian breakfast. The location is nice and quiet and you can hear the birds when you up. He is knowledgeable about Nubian culture and also organizes trips down the Nile. Crocodiles, birds, food, there is a lot more to Abu Simbel than just the temple. Longer stays recommended for those looking for an off the beaten track experience.
