Friendly hosts with warm welcome. Room was generous in size and conveniences and very well insulated from any noises, inside or out. Breakfast was delicious with everything one would want, homemade confiture was the best I’ve ever had.

Château de Contay Guesthouse – 1753 is the nicest place I have stayed. It is a truly beautiful château, with access to many lovely rooms to relax and read in, as well as beautiful grounds to walk through. The château’s history makes it even more interesting. Nicolas was excellent in responding to emails, and Anne was so welcoming and accommodating, ensuring we had everything we needed and that we enjoyed a good breakfast. We would love to visit again – it was really magical.

Everything is clearly explained in the email so you can easily enter the building and your room. They take care about every single detail which makes the room just excellent. It’s ultra clean and very cozy. The bed was super comfortable, I had a nice sleep. You can also find some useful stuff in the room like a charger or a toothbrush in case you forget yours. The whole place is decorated with a good taste.

Guests at the guest house will be able to enjoy activities in and around Brocourt, like walking tours. From the reception by Sarah to the departure was an excellent stay, it was an attic (up 2 flights) in a very spacious room. We had the evening meal with lots of lovely food, not expensive and the ice cream sundae with fruit from their garden was exceptional (Michael was the waiter) We had a very restful night and felt refreshed, ready for the next stage of our journey. The breakfast(included in the room price was excellent with fresh bread and another fruit sundae. Could not have faulted anything.(but see below)
