Glad to have an elevator with our large suitcases and the room was freshly made up for us again the next day. Beautifully appointed and clean. We wish we could’ve stayed longer. The Rooms At Firecastle is set in Kildare's market square, overlooking St Brigid's Cathedral. Fantastic place in all aspects, absolutely nothing to complain about! We had an issue with the codes upon checking in but the team was super responsive when called. Rooms are super lovely, clean and comfortable. Water and tea and coffee machine is provided. All comforts in the room.

Breakfast was top notch. charming interior matching the feel of the late Victorian exterior.

The room and bathroom were beautifully decorated. The shared lounge is spacious and the kitchen is well equipped. We didn't interact with staff in person but Rachel sent helpful instructions about the property and everything was clear. It is not easy to spot the entrance from the road, so use the Eircode provided.

We went to the local pub owned by his brother for dinner and then breakfast was provided as well as things to make lunches for the next day of hiking. Sean also drove us to the trail the next day so we could continue on the Wicklow way.
