It's not far from the beach (15 minutes walking) and pretty close to the market and restaurants. It's a nice and quiet place, where you can have a rest after noisy big cities. Edward is very kind and he always helped whether we needed some cutlery or some advise. He also helped to book a taxi for the airport. The room is pretty spacious and clean. One time the neighbours were a little noisy, but Edward helped to solve this question. In general it's a quiet place and you can close the windows and have a really good sleep.

We liked the big rooms and good ac. Jack was very nice and helped with everything we needed like laundry service. It is close to the beach and other restaurants. I would go here again next time.

I can easily manage here. We can see the sea from the balcony. Everything is good here. Filter water available. Small kitchen and fridge also available. Water heater kettle smart tv also available.

Mainly I had the room from 16-18 but due to my kids school I had to change the dates 2days ahead and I was worried about last minute changes that if I could get the property to stay. Booking.com it said sold out but later I called the owner Mr Glen and told the issue and he was so kind to understand the issue and help me move my dates without any extra charges and this is only with him I think. Usually as we check in to any hotel they ask for the payment first but here till I myself opened up and asked he didn’t even ask for payment. This is very very rare. Overlooking the whitewashed St. Sebastian Chapel, Afonso Guest House is located in the heart of Fontainhas, an old Latin Quarter. Free WiFi access is available. The Panaji Kadamba Bus Station is just 800 metres away. Afonso Guest house exceeded all our expectations! It is in fact even much more beautiful than shown on internet. The roof garden full of plants and flowers is a real highlight. Breakfast up there wíth traditional Goan bread was delicious. The room was spacious enough, very clean, everything is functioning well (also WIFI) and the owner lady is a lovely host, very knowledgeable and always ready to help you or give you informations. We can highly recommand this place and wish to come back!
