All this was made possible thanks to Aparna, who welcomed us with great professionalism, warmth, kindness, and genuine care. Aparna took wonderful care of us—and of me in particular. I’m a woman, 52, traveling alone in south India for three weeks, and I was deeply touched by her thoughtfulness, advice, small attentions, and her responsiveness. In some units there is a dressing room for guests to change in. We were 5 people booked 2 rooms. It was very good stay. Especially the village canoe cruise. We did kayaks and other boat Tour before but the village Tour organizef by Johnson's was the best. We had to travel almost 45 minutes to a peaceful village for this your inclided dinner. Very very good. Location also very very good. Beach near, town center not near but not far. We exttended our stay also.

Great location just away from the main action in Varkala. Very peaceful. The main reasons to stay here are the staff and the food, both of which are exceptional. We were looked after when we changed our booking and then due to flight delays arrived at 1am. Devan provided excellent service and nothing was too much trouble for them. Hom Raj also looked after us for meals and drinks. We didn’t eat much from then European menu but the Keralan dishes (fish in banana leaf, malabari fish and prawn masala) were excellent. My partner cooks a lot of various regional Indian food and didn’t feel like going anywhere else. The rooms are basic in their facilities but very good value. Would happily stay again.

Guests staying at this guest house have access to a balcony. Every room includes a patio. Stay was clean, cozy and quiet, it was a nice getaway. It is on the cliff, so the beach is quite close, takes about 15-20 min by walk. Host was helpful, allowed us to keep our luggage at her stay after the checkout until late evening when we were ready to leave. Provided us with a list of recommendations for visits and for food, and that worked out well.
