The host is incredibly helpful, we checked in late and he gave me a very detailed instructions to let us in and it was very smooth, and we also checked out early which is also no problem. The view is amazing, you can see the main church thru the balcony especially at night. We had a short stay but a memorable one.

We had a fantastic trip to Matera, and our experience at this hotel made it even better. We arrived a bit earlier than the official check-in time, but the receptionist was incredibly kind and welcoming—she allowed us to check in early, which was greatly appreciated. The common area near the reception was very convenient, with amenities like a coffee table, coffee machine, fridge, and more—everything you might need was available. The room itself was beautiful and modern, with a stylish design and all the necessary comforts. Overall, everything exceeded our expectations, especially considering the reasonable price. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Matera!

The staff were incredibly kind - they upgraded our ‘cave’ at no cost. He also did an excellent job to make sure we were comfortable. The location was absolutely phenomenal. Everything we had planned was a 2-10min walk. No parking provided but the garage they suggested was close by. The room exceeded all my expectations. I also enjoyed that we got to select what we wanted for breakfast and had it delivered to our room. Mattress was also very comfortable. Made for a very special weekend.

Casa Blanca Matera offers accommodation in Matera, at walking distance from the Sassi di Matera area, a UNESCO World Heritage site. WiFi is free throughout. The room was at a exceptional position, just 3mins walking from the Old City. Room was very clean , and minimal decorated. Very clean bathroom , with supplies included. Breakfast super fresh and delicious!

Set in a restored Tuff-stone building, Hydria Rooms is a guest house located in Matera, 60 metres from Sasso Barisano. Free WiFi is offered throughout the property. I cannot put in words how beautiful Matera is and how great are the people. The atmosphere of the city is like whole centre was captured in time and left for ages. It was my first time in Italy and I've literally fallen in love with this city. Our host was amazing and the warm welcome we've received will stay with us forever. I can't say anything bad about our stay in Matera and I would recommend everyone to book couple nights there. We would definitely come back to Matera, sooner than later.
