We loved the fact that they had bikes at our disposal, and some breakfast!

The property is around 8.4 km from Otsumago, 10 km from Kotoku-ji Temple and 10 km from Sekibutsu Kanzan Jittoku Statue. The guest house features rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. Very cute guesthouse! We stayed in the “principal’s office” which was a very large private room. Bathroom facilities are shared but very clean and no difficulty with access. Lounge space was nice to hang out in. Staff were excellent- they helped us book a dinner reservation ahead of time which was greatly appreciated. About a 6-7 minute walk away from the main tourist area of Magome.

At the guest house, all units are fitted with a tatami. There is a private bathroom with bidet in some units, along with slippers, a hair dryer and free toiletries. At the guest house, each unit includes bed linen and towels. I can’t say enough great things about this place. Everything is so clean and well kept, the staff is so friendly, welcoming and helpful and there is a wonderful sense of community among those staying there. The beds were also some of the most comfortable I’ve ever experienced at an accommodation.

Andy and his team were incredibly welcoming and super helpful. Everyone was friendly and spoke English. One of the Hakuba ski resorts is in walking distance and the food at dark horse was outstanding. The hotel is super clean, beds are incredibly comfortable, it’s nice and and warm everywhere, and dogs are welcome. We’ll be coming back for sure.
