We had a charming traditional room with tatami mats and a marvellous view of the garden and mountains.

Resided in a quiet and cute neighbourhood close to Nippori station and easy to reach from Narita airport. The staff in the guest house were amazing; super friendly and accommodating. The rooms and overall facilities super clean and well-equipped. Sheets and towels were cleaned everyday! Overall, this place was a bargain and the perfect stay. We stayed here for three days after landing in Tokyo, and another four days before we left home again because it was so nice. I can recommend to anyone from couples to families.

Kamakura no Nikki is located in Kamakura, 500 metres from Yuigahama Beach, 2.3 km from Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, as well as 22 km from Sankeien. There is a private entrance at the guest house for the convenience of those who stay. The guest house features family rooms. Brand new Japanese style apartment, well equipped. Water and soft drinks waiting in the fridge. Very nice personnel. There was no problem with early check-in and late check-out. Very convenient location, 10 minutes walk to the beach.

Super clean, the room is very spacious, has two shared-but-private onsen baths (meaning you can lock it for your own use). Kitchen fully equipped with grill, microwave oven, pan stoves, dishes and cutlery, fridge. The toilets are shared but there are plenty in the inn. Kotatsu in the shared living room! Ayana san, the person taking care of the place, is super helpful and friendly (she gave me a lot of tips about the local baths, to contacting the bus station to make sure I got the right information for onward journey).

Set in Nikko, COZY Inn Free Shuttle service is a recently renovated accommodation, 12 km from Tobu Nikko Station and 14 km from Nikko Toshogu Shrine. The air-conditioned accommodation is 11 km from Nikko Station, and guests can benefit from private parking available on site and free WiFi. The guest house features a hot tub and a shared kitchen. The place is really special! The host is super nice and helpful. While staying at Mr. Hiro’s place you can feel the real Japan. The whole place was very clean and there was a cozy onsen inside. We highway recommend it!

Though we speak only a bit since we stayed for just the night, Mr Kageyama was probably the nicest host we had in Japan, contacting us after we left to check out our stay was good and giving us recomendations were to go. It is a honest traditional japanese house, not a hotel that pretends to be one, so is nice staying in the real deal. Really close to the train station as well

The bunk bed was extremely clean with a really comfy mattress. The host was polite and professional.
