Wonderful stay with Gihan and Dinu! We stayed twice for a total of 7 nights. A wonderful, authentic experience in Sri Lanka. They are extremely kind and welcoming. They speak English very well, and we were able to take the time to ask questions and discuss many topics such as culture, sports, politics, food, customs, etc. This allowed us to better understand this country. They truly care about their guests, making sure we have everything we need and giving great tips for visiting the city and its surroundings. They offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner if needed (we recommend trying it at least once because it's delicious). We did the cooking program, which involves buying ingredients at the market and then cooking together. It was great to see all the flavors they add to the dishes we enjoyed afterwards. They know a contact for a safari in Wilpattu National Park and can help organize it. Regarding the accommodation, it's located on a very quiet alley. There's a kitchen available and a pleasant terrace overlooking the small garden. The rooms are well-equipped and pleasant. We recommend a stay here for a wonderful human experience. The owner has used his artistic skills to make this one of the most enchanting boutique property anywhere. The breakfasts were delicious and the location is a short tuk tuk ride to the lake, downtown and nearby restaurants. Even comes with a small pool to cool off in on those hot days. Highly recommended!

Excellent clean room, friendly welcome. Nice fresh juice on arrival. Better than the pictures! Very nice new AC, great bathroom with hot showers, really good mosquito nets with elastic edging. Set well back from the lorry and bus filled busy main road with really nice views across to the hills, was very tranquil. Can sit out the front of your room or there was the covered eating area with dartboard. Re-opened 7 months ago and the new owners are doing a great job. Included breakfast with fruit, toast and eggs. Would thoroughly recommend this place if staying in dambulla, great value and as mentioned before, away from the busy main road.
