The place is pretty, well maintained, and clean. Nice vibe to chill. All the staff is super friendly and welcoming. I appreciate the guide for a quick intro to the town, restaurants, and surf spots. I also appreciate the board with upcoming events around. Makai is at a ~6 min walk from the main street and in front of a bus stop in this main street, convenient to go to downtown or surf spots. Even more convenient if you have a motorbike. Some of the restaurants nearby are good so you can just walk to get good food. Would recommend!

We had an amazing stay at Stuthi villa, it is a quiet place with a beautiful swimming pool. The room was very nice with an amazing outside shower. Excellent service and an amazing manager. We were checked in early and welcomed with fresh juice. The rooms were spacious and very nice, and the view from the balcony was fantastic. One of the most beautiful hotels we stayed at in Sri Lanka — everything was just as it should be. The breakfast was huge and delicious. Our flight was late in the evening, and we were allowed to stay and use the hotel facilities even after checking out. On top of that, the lovely manager entertained us with interesting stories about Sri Lanka. We truly regret not being able to stay longer. Highly recommended!
