Free transport to the elephant transit home is provided. Lovely place run by a family. Room was big and great value for money. They had good food and humungous servings, and they were able to arrange everything that I needed (safari, transport to and from Udawalawe). Would recommend this place to everyone - don't even look elsewhere!

The cottages are beautiful, so comfortable, from the huge bed, to the super clean bathroom and the terrace invites you to sit and relax in the middle of the most beautiful garden. The owner greeted us with a welcome drink and even organised milk for our baby late at night when we arrived. It looks amazing in the pictures and even better in real! Best accommodation we had during our trip in Sri Lanka! This place deserves the best rating ever!

At the guest house, all units are fitted with bed linen and towels. Anju, his brother and mom were amazing. The mom cooked delicious dinner for us, with a birthday cake and gift for my partner. The rooms big and clean,nice bathroom. Nice veranda, nice gardens. Loads of mosquitoes- but that’s Sri Lanka. There is a net over the bed if you want. Had trouble with the hot water which was fixed right away. For us the mattress was very hard and in the room there isn’t a chair. We did the safari which was amazing - so worth it! Breakfast was simple with egg toast, some Sri Lanken food, fruit tea and coffee Thanks Anju and dear family - we’ll be back for sure.

They provided us with a beautiful Sri lankan dinner and catered for one guest who does not like spicy food by making and individual curry just for her. Breakfast was also very good and they even supplied additional snacks for our child. The setting was beautiful and very peaceful and the beds were very comfortable. The place was great value for money and would definately recommend staying here!

Located within 16 km of Udawalawe National Park in Udawalawe, Forest Edge Safari Villa features accommodation with seating area. There is a private entrance at the guest house for the convenience of those who stay. The accommodation provides a 24-hour front desk and parking on-site. We booked this place to serve us for a sleep over for our safari tour. However, this turned out to be a great surprise as the facility and staff exceeded our expectations. The room was very clean, the best bathroom during our Sri Lanka trip, comfortable. The backyard is a forest with an amazing feeling of nature being next to you. The staff (a young brother and sister) were really great. Our breakfast was marvelous. And the facility was very very cheap. I think the team should reconsider the prices. We also used their jeep for safari and the price and quality was very good. Suresh was our guide and he was very very good with identifying all species of birds, not just a generic elephant observer. We were very satisfied with our tour. This was a great stay for us and we can suggest to everyone.

The cabins are very nice and comfortable, and it is the ideal place to stay when visiting Udawalawe. The dinner and the breakfast were absolutely amazing. A special thank you to all the staff, who were so nice and friendly and helped arrange transfers to the property, the safari (which was amazing) as well as the delicious meals in the property!
