Located in Udawalawe, NATURE HOUSE offers rustic accommodation with free WiFi access available at all areas. Rooms are comfortable, clean and fitted with a spacious private terrace. The rooms were clean and spacious, staff were friendly. The swimming pool was clean and big. The breakfast was ok, the dinner was a buffet of traditional Sri Lankan food. We booked a safari tour through the hotel itself - it was a great experience overall.

At first the jungle around seems a bit scary, but you r absolutely safe there! The family that has the place is very kind, they show us their beautiful garden. Welcome drinks and breakfast were so nice! Wish them a good luck with their business! Don’t miss this place!

Very close to the lake and to the elephant transit home. The staff was very helpful and friendly, he arranged a safari with a very nice driver who paid so much attention in wildlife welfare. He also arranged our transfer from Mirissa and then to yala, the driver was friendly and was a pleasure to talk to him. We had a wonderful dinner and also a super Ayurvedic massage near the accommodation!!

We booked this place to serve us for a sleep over for our safari tour. However, this turned out to be a great surprise as the facility and staff exceeded our expectations. The room was very clean, the best bathroom during our Sri Lanka trip, comfortable. The backyard is a forest with an amazing feeling of nature being next to you. The staff (a young brother and sister) were really great. Our breakfast was marvelous. And the facility was very very cheap. I think the team should reconsider the prices. We also used their jeep for safari and the price and quality was very good. Suresh was our guide and he was very very good with identifying all species of birds, not just a generic elephant observer. We were very satisfied with our tour. This was a great stay for us and we can suggest to everyone.

Very friendly family, delicious food, super clean and beautiful bungalow. We loved the outdoor shower. The host organized a half day Safari for a fair price (it was not the best Safari experience ever, however this wasn't the fault of the guide nor of the host. I guess if you don't wanna be the 6th Jeep in front of an elephant you either need to book a full day to go deeper into the park or go somewhere else). Regarding the accomodation and organization: everything wonderful, can recommend a 100%

We only stayed for two nights, but we could have easily stayed longer. The room was clean, and our favorite feature was the outdoor bathroom, which we absolutely loved — it had a toilet, a regular shower, a natural waterfall-style shower, and even a small private plunge pool or bathtub — really fantastic. The location is great — right in the center of town, but it feels like you’re in the jungle. It’s beautifully arranged, and it’s definitely worth spending time relaxing on the terrace. The owner is extremely friendly and also offers dinners and a safari trip to Udawalawe National Park.
