Everything was great during our stay. The family who runs the place is very kind and welcoming — they even looked after my dog so we could visit the cenote for an hour, and they sent me videos to keep me updated, which I really appreciated. The breakfast was good, and the room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with its own bathroom and AC. There was plenty of space for us and our things. We arrived by car, I’m not sure how practical the location is without a car, as it’s a little outside the centre, but it was very quiet and peaceful. Great value for the price, a warm atmosphere, and everything we needed for a relaxed weekend. We also appreciated being able to leave our luggage on Sunday for a few hours. We would definitely return!

The colectivo stop for Chichén Itzá is also within walking distance. There was also a bank nearby, and I was able to withdraw cash from the ATM around 9 PM without any problem. Basically, most things are within a few minutes’ walk. I arrived at night, and the staff kindly told me that I could pay the next day, which was very helpful. The hostel has a kitchen and a water dispenser, which is very useful. I didn’t use it myself, but they can also help you book tours. The staff were very kind and always explained things clearly when I had questions.
