Our window view was of a temple, and you are literally two blocks from Kathmandu Durbar Square. The room had charging plugs right near the bed, and each room is its own floor so the bathroom — adjacent — is private. There is a water dispenser and a kettle on each floor as well. Bobby suggested that we use the roof are to dry clothes, but he also provides a clothespin rack inside (it’s monsoon season). Bobby was super helpful — met me at the airport, showed us where to change money, helped us buy umbrellas, booked our Tourist bus to Pokhara, arranged for a taxi pickup, and each was a value-for-money experience. He let us store our luggage for our days away for a small fee. The room is only fan-cooled, but I’d gladly put up with the “a little steamy” for the location and the support.

His guesthouse also has a welcoming atmosphere that truly feels like home. In the evenings, the living room transforms into a gathering spot where travelers from all over connect and share stories. If you’re traveling alone or want to experience Bhaktapur from a local’s perspective, Shekhar’s Shared Home is the perfect place.

Sightseeing tours are available within a reachable distance of the property. A car rental service is available at the guest house. It was very convenient location for me. Very friendly stuff !

Dondrub Guest House features free WiFi throughout the property. The room and toilet were clean and odorless, the mattress was firm enough, and the pillowcases and sheets were so white that I couldn't bear to dirty them! Breakfast was provided and nutritionally balanced. The hotel itself was clean and tidy, with a Buddhist temple and a small park for meditation and walking. It was about a ten-minute walk from the Mangwan Pagoda. I would choose this accommodation next time.The most important thing is that the hotel has air conditioning, so you don't have to worry about being overheated in the summer.

Clean and good size room, the staffs are all so helpful and kind, very pleasant personality. Good hot shower even on rainy day. As I kept the window open at night so it's slightly noisy but I use the earplugs and slept like a baby.
