Homestays in Avarua

This was very unexpected but it was one of our most favourite stays during our travels. Mireka is the most wonderful host/person you can meet. We loved to stay with her and share her house. Thanks for all the help and all the conversations, we were really happy to meet you, Mireka and Poroa! The house is very big and clean. We were allowed to use the kitchen and had our own bathroom. Mireka even emptied some cupboards and one side of the fridge in the kitchen so we could put our food there. The beach is only some minutes away by foot and it is paradise because there are almost no people at the beach.

Perfect. Location couldn't be better. The beach at your doorstep. Excellent snorkeling right there, plus a short walk to the turtle tour operators location. . Right opposite a 24 hour convenience store, a take away shop, a petrol station and car hire. Walking distance to restaurants and cafes. The accom. There are only two villas on the large block, and you feel very private. Despite being close to all amenities the only sounds you will hear are the ocean and the occasional clucking of a chicken. The villa has everything you will need, even snorkeling gear, paddleboards, canoes, a laundry complete with washing powder and a dryer. There is a huge balcony right on the water, with a gazebo just perfect for watching sunrise and sunset. That's as well as your own private balcony at the villa. There is a good gas bbq. There are outdoor showers for washing off after you walk straight from the stunning water to your room. The bed is comfy and I'm fussy and has lovely linen. The pillows are fine. The bathroom is large. Instant hot water. The villa has everything and more. I've stayed at resorts on the island, and can vouch that I believe Vai Villas is way nicer. Who needs a pool when you have the stunning ocean at your doorstep. I won't stay anywhere else in Raro ever again. This is my new home away from home and I can't wait to return

My partner and I Absolutely LOVED our stay! this place was AMAZING! The accommodation was beautiful, clean, and had everything I needed for a relaxing getaway. The location was perfect – close to everything but still peaceful and private. What truly made it unforgettable were the two incredible hosts Angela and Stan. They were so kind, welcoming, and genuinely helpful the entire time. Their hospitality really took the experience to the next level. Couldn’t recommend this place more – 10/10, we will definitely be back!

The property was in an excellent location, right on the beachfront and very close to cafes (Beluga nearby was exceptionally good), restaurants, scooter hires and food markets. The apartment was clean and had a fully equipped kitchen. The hosts were extremely friendly as well. Highly recommend a stay here.

I really like the view from my room and it is so privacy and quite..🥰🥰room was so tidy and clean, bed is so comfortable.i love my stay i am looking forward to do this again. Thank you MURI LAGOON VIEW BUNGALOWS perfect place to have a break.🥰🥰

Fantastic place that has exceeding all my expectations. First of all, Donna and Sam (the hosts) are amazing kind people. You really feel like part of the family. They go over and beyond to help and make sure you have a great stay.. They are so open, friendly and helpful. The house is right on the beach. Quiet, peaceful location where you can enjoy the sound of the ocean waves. The house is clean and spacious. Great place to cook but also close to cafes, restaurants and shops. Many guests come for a few nights but keep extending their stay because they love it here. I really did not want to leave.
