It was a great experience being able to stay in a Tulou. Despite being a tulou, the facilities and the room were very good. The tulou is located near Taxia village so we were able to walk with the owner to the village and enjoy dinner at a local restaurant. The owner also kindly helped arrange car transport to and from Nanjing station as well as for the day so that we could visit numerous tulous such as Tianluokeng and Yongding. She also kindly took us around and explained the different historical backgrounds behind each of the tulous.

    The location is perfect to start a Tulou tour. Great hosts who are eager to explain about the Tulou. Taxia village is very cute with a few restaurants and coffee shops. highly recommend this place, especially family room with children. Good food as well!

    The ambience in the homestay is very warm, cosy, friendly .. Mr Jang is very helpful and it is very easy to communicate with them Mrs Jang cooking is very superb and we enjoyed delicious Hakka menu everyday.
