We arrived during late check-in hours. Our host sent us very clear instructions about arrival process and communication was very smooth. Breakfast was very diverse and complete, with a huge amount of food. Julia (the owner) was very friendly and caring. Definitely very pleasant experience!

Very flexible host. We arrived at 2am after major delays with the ferry from Dunkirk. He was so kind and waited for us. He even suggested we could check out at 3pm if needed. The room were very clean. Bed well made. Towels for all of us. The kitchenette was very convenient. Used kettle, fridge and microwave. The bathroom was also clean. Location is abit isolated but it's ok for a stopover. It had private parking. The rooms were well heated.

Probably the most clean and tidy place I’ve been to in Germany - and I’ve seen a lot. Very high standards for a pension, with complimentary vanity set, toothbrush etc. King size beds with high quality madras’s, two different pillow options - all highlights the high standards. Not to mention the breakfast buffet, which is typical German, but offers a large variety of both yoghurt, bread and assortment. The host was super friendly and spoke very well English.

No public transport but easy roadside parking for free; car needed for access to shops and restaurants. Do not miss out on fantastic breakfast (book directly with hosts). Room was big, and shower good. Breakfast was excellently presented, even when we were the only guests! We asked for, and were given, a kettle, cups and tea. Sheltered bike storage (but open to the public road). The village had many lovely brick and semi-timbered buildings.

The hotel An der Stadthalle is located directly opposite the city hall, on the outskirts of Braunschweig's city centre. There is free Wi-Fi and free public parking is located near the hotel.
