First and foremost stunning guest house. Beautifully decorated and styled throughout. We were welcomed with open arms by Ossama, Laurice and their beautiful family. The rooms are very spacious with the most comfortable bed, I already miss it, large bathroom and a bonus living are that opened up onto a small balcony. Room also has fridge, air conditioning and electric fan which was perfect for night time. Every morning we were treated to a huge delicious breakfast with numerous various foods. Delicious ! ! ! Staff were so friendly. Now on to the proprietors. They looked after every booking for each trip we were interested in doing which were all brilliant and went off without a hitch. Due to lost luggage on arrival into Egypt Ossama liaised with the airline /courier Company days before our arrival and once found, had our luggage delivered to the guest house. For this alone we can not thank him enough. If you plan to visit Luxor do not hesitate to stay at Kemet House…you won’t regret it. Ossama and Laurice, thank you for your hospitality. You were truly wonderful and your guest house is a credit to you both. The very best of luck always.

We had an excellent stay at Karina Guest House! One of the highlights was the amazing food—fresh, organic Egyptian dishes lovingly prepared by Mohamed. Every meal was a treat! The rooftop view was absolutely stunning—you could see the Valley of the Kings and watch the hot air balloons rising in the early morning. A truly magical experience. We also want to thank Arafat, who provided exceptional taxi service. He made us feel safe and cared for everywhere we went—more than just a driver, he was a true host. The neighborhood experience was another unforgettable part of our stay. We had the chance to spend time with local families on their farms. The kids especially loved riding donkeys and horses, feeding goats, and getting a glimpse into rural Egyptian life. This stay was warm, authentic, and full of heart. Highly recommended!

The entire guesthouse experience from booking, staying, to leaving was excellent. I booked Abeer guesthouse because I needed a place to stay for one night in Luxor in the next day or two. I was hoping that the short notice would be allright. Shortly after I booked, they gave me WhatsApp information so that I could contact them, which I needed because I couldn't check my emails all the time. I had a little trouble locating the building but once I called on WhatsApp, they responded with instructions. We were too early to check in just yet, but we were brought up to the rooftop and were greeted with warm, friendly faces, coffee and conversation while our room was being prepared. This was great after a long morning of travel and siteseeing. Our hosts Auston and Abeer provided excellent recommendations. We were worried about being able to get an early enough taxi to make it for our morning flight, so we asked for help and Auston was able to arrange it really quickly and we were able to sleep with peace of mind that had transport at a great price, with an offer of a wakeup call so as not to miss it. We took advantage of the homecooked meal for dinner and it was hearty and delicious! The location is great, close enough to sites and the Nile river. Other guests also treated it as their home and it was great to be able to socialize with them as well! After a long day, the newly renovated room and the bed was so comfortable that I dozed off quickly into a deep sleep, until the morning call to prayer and rooster crowing.

Very friendly owner, host and staff. Good breakfast, also one evening had my dinner there, kofta grill, very good, big portion. Pool is nice after doing a tour. Very good location. They can help with tours, transportation etc. Slept very well.

Absolutely charming guesthouse run by Tayeb and his family, who were extremely hospitable and welcoming – they were kind enough to let us check in early after our overnight train from Cairo and to keep one room for a few extra hours on our last day. The breakfast is incredible – we couldn't believe how much food there was, and it just kept coming! The aubergines with tahini were a particular highlight, and we all loved the halawa spread; we also had dinner one night, which was one of our favourite meals of the whole trip. For our second night, Tayeb recommended an amazing local restaurant, which was our other favourite meal! He also arranged a taxi to bring us back. Nothing was too much trouble, and we felt totally relaxed and at home. Would recommend without reservation to anyone wanting to experience Egyptian hospitality and to support a local family. Oh, and we loved being able to watch the hot air balloons over the Valley of the Kings in the morning! Great viewpoint from the terrace.

We had a great experience. The room and the garden were comfortable and the beds were big with mattresses that were good for our backs. The host was very friendly. He gave us good suggestions on what to do. He was very flexible to our needs and very accommodating. We definitely recommend it.
