The staff was amazing and prepared a delicious elaborate breakfast. The location was perfect and the views from the terrace sublime. Very authentic building, maybe basic, but I loved it!

The host is a kind hearted retired captain who is super welcoming, and makes an amazing breakfast! The garden around the house is beautiful with huge palm trees and different fruit trees. The house itself is tidy, clean and makes you want to explore everything in and around the house. You can walk to the city center in a few minutes.

Friendos house is a great get away from the city noises and perfectly located between dessert and farms. It offers a private hot spring and a family vibe. It's typical siwa style, simple and quiet. Host very accommodating and responsive. He helps us on booking for all transport from place to place at a very good rate and tour to siwa Salt Lake too. This apartment just a walking distance to siwa town and lots of food surrounding. It is located at second floor and only access is staircase, but not to worry, cos the host will be helping to bring up all luggages as well as during check out. Really appreciate for all help and thank you very much !!!

Our stay at the newly renovated old Shali house turned into homestay was a wonderful experience, made very special due to our host Ahmed Maradona. He is very knowledgeable about Siwa, took us on great trips to a private salt lake and around the oasis. Rooms are spacious and decorated with great care for local traditions, each has its own bathroom and common area is very cozy to relax. If you need anything, Maradona will get it to you in a second. Free and working WiFi in all areas is a big plus. The place is very peaceful, but just a short walk takes you to the center of the lively town. You can climb to Shali fortress from just behind the house and we had a view to its top from our bathroom.
