We loved staying with Mzia. Her family have renovated their beautiful old stone house for decades. We had lots of interesting conversations and wonderful food for breakfast and dinner. Mzia was incredibly welcoming and got up early to give us breakfast at 5am!!!!! so we could bicycle 85km to Tbilisi before the wind came up and it got hot.

Amazing host whom is very hospitable and willing to share his knowledge and their georgian way of life. His backyard was filled with bee harvesting, fresh vegetables and herbs - a beautiful sight to see. He also gave us a tour of his wine cellar and poured us a complimentary glass of his wine. It was really fantastic! Definitely stay here for a local experience!

Host family was excellent. some of family could speak English and it is always fun to talk to local people. I could enjoy local family breakfast. Of course it is not hotel buffet breakfast but it is important to experience good local breakfast and I could hear sounds of burds enjoy view of mountain even through neighboring houses. Furthermore on top of Stalin museum and Uplistsikhe Gory has other good tourist spots such as fortress with very good view, Javri church and Atene-Sione valley.
