Dian and Andre welcomed us warmly at the Gado-Gado BnB and offered us a tea. We arrived at 8 AM and could immediately check into our room and take a shower. If you are looking for a calm and relaxed stay in the nature, you will love this place! We went for a long walk with Andre and he showed us many different kind of fruits, we even tried some of them, rice fields and a rice factory. We were fascinated by the beautiful nature and the friendly people that live here. We learned a lot about Indonesian culture, and food and the life outside of the city. Dian and Andre made us feel at home in their beautiful, self-built house, which has a relaxed and easy-going vibe. They are really interested in getting to know you and helping you out if you need help. Andrè even went to the bank with us the help us with our credit cards. The breakfast was special and different each day and very tasty. We also rented a scooter for 24 hours for 70.000 Rupiah. After they gave us some recommendations, we visited a beautiful waterfall mountains, which was 30 minutes away by bike. If you like to play football, there is also a futsal pitch close by. We visited the place in the evening and got to know friendly Indonesian students, who let us join their game. There is a small shop 20 meters away from the BnB and you can easily access the main road by foot and find some tasty and cheap street food.

The location is wonderful, in the middle of rice paddies, viewing Borobodur in the background. The staff is exceptional and took us to a local archery event that was just great. The rooms are very comfortable and the breakfast is good. We rided the resort bicycles to discover the surroundings and we had a great day.

The place is very comfortable and clean. They have helped us getting the tickets to go to the top of the temple, w/o them it would have been possible. It is only 15 minutes walk from the entrance of the temple. We had lunch at the hotel after visiting Borobudur and it was delicious. I have been there with my wife and my three kids and it was perfect for a family. Strongly recommend it

We had a marvellous experience at Rumah Gandrung : a very beautiful / /well decorated and peaceful place, and our hosts were so friendly and helpfull ! The breakfast was delicious and it was a real pleasure to chat with them....We really recommend this little paradise !

The host picked us up from the airport. The plane was delayed and we arrived at the airport very late. We were very hungry. On the way back to the hotel, he took us to have a bowl of amazing chicken soup. The hotel is nice and beautiful, carefully decorated every corner, well consider and well equipped. The owner is very warm and welcoming. It is a beautiful hotel very close to Borobudur. I will recommend it to everyone.

That it is right in the middle of rice-fields. One may stay here just to relax and live /relive a relaxed village life. The homestay is gorgeous with Buddha statues and other statues, cobbled paths. Sit on the benches and see an old man guiding his flock of very disciplined ducks from the fields to back home; small boys flying kites; wake up to the sound of birds and go to sleep to the sound of either frogs/ lizards(could not make out what was it😄). Cycle the nearby villages with green fields on either side; locals cheerfully wishing you; you can cycle to Borobodur too / walk to the placs. cycles are provided by Rumah Dharma. They also arrange tickets for you for Borobodur. Do remember climbing the temple is not open on Mondays. The rooms are spacious, the bathrooms even more spacious. The staff is very welcoming. You enjoy local food. They arranged a very good driver/car for airport pickup/dropoff; visit to Prambanan and Mount Merapi. What I also enjoyed is unlike hotels, all the guests were sitting in the open areas, playing board games, chatting with other guests. We absolutely loved our stay here. A warm shoutout to the staff who were excellent!

It's impossible to feel more welcome then here. Not only are Ika and Yani very hospitable and lovely people, they have a true and genuine passion for what they do. Ika provides you with all the info you can possibly need and will never grow tired answering your questions. The room is comfortable, clean and has a good and quiet airco and hot shower (but you probably want a cold shower). Yani makes you a delicious breakfast. Very highly recommended!
