This place looks so beautiful, the family have created such a beautiful, place with shells and driftwood decorating everything, we loved it. The food was incredible and the room was very comfy. The house reef was beautiful and we saw mantas straight from our room! Thank you so much for such a beautiful stay.

We had a marvellous stay with Nick at Meos Ambower. The bungalows over the water with the house reef right in front is extraordinary. Baby reefsharks visiting, swimming underneath, a beautiful sunrise and sunset right in front is a dream come true. The common room has excellent 360degree view over the beautiful reef. Plenty of food options and always fresh. The staff is super friendly, helpful and always ready to go on an adventure. We went swimming with the mantas, which is just a 10 minute boat ride from the homestay. Cristal clear emerald blue water and playful mantas. We had a fabulous stay and will definitely visit again! Romel made everything to make us fell like at home. This is a family homestay, all the food was freshly done and it was lovely, even the fish was freshly caught by the Romel’s dad. We had also nice snack in the afternoon. We made a day trip in Pyanemo, all was perfectly organized. No doubt this is an homestay which we would be happy to book again

I really enjoyed my 5 days here. I was the only guest, so I had the whole beach (several kilometres long) to myself, which was fantastic. And at night all I could hear was the soothing sound of the ocean waves. The beach is just a few seconds away from the bungalow. Because it is by the sea, the waves are quite big and the breeze is a blessing in this otherwise quite hot place. And because the beach faces west, I saw the best sunsets in Raja Amapat. As for the accommodation, it is basic, but I had everything I needed. The food was delicious. The family helped me with everything. The father took me wherever I wanted to go and even gave me some tips, which turned out to be the best snorkelling I had in the area (Napoleon Reef and Fam Wall). He even climbed a palm tree to get me a fresh coconut. So I am really happy about everything and I recommend you to visit Or Mandira too.

The best homestay and location we’ve seen and lived in during our multiple trips in Raja Ampat. The homestay has a fabulous house reef and is in front of the Citrus Ridge. What makes Avinsea special is the owner’s family and people who help them in the homestay and with trips. We felt welcomed and taken care of like their friends, enjoyed every minute of our stay. Food was generous and most delicious, plenty of fresh fruit and snacks. All trips to snorkelling spots were well organised (we were most impressed by Yeben island), we even did night snorkelling with them we will never forget. There was always somebody from Avinsea snorkelling together with us – we felt safe and able to see the sea life we would have never spotted on our own (crocodile fish, for example). They collect plastic garbage from the Citrus Ridge, take care of the reef. Stay as long there as you can. We are in another homestay now and missing the vibe of Avinsea. We will revisit this homestay during our next trips to Raja Ampat for sure.

What an absolute GEM of a stay. Definitely our top stay in Raja Ampat. The family was so kind and the food delicious. We loved that there was only limit people (one other couple at the stay) even though we did not meet Donald he was a great communicator

This was, without a doubt, our favorite homestay in Raja Ampat. A stunning white sand beach with a vibrant, healthy reef just steps from our bungalow, perfect for snorkeling every single day. The bungalow was spacious and airy, with a large bed and one of the most comfortable mattresses we’ve had on our trip (complete with a topper!). The food was excellent — varied, plentiful, and delicious. We’re really going to miss the afternoon snacks! (Huge thanks to the lovely cook!) We also really appreciated the boat used for transfers and excursions: shaded, powerful, and ideal for reaching amazing spots like Wayag and Aljui Bay quickly and safely. Even during snorkels in strong currents, we always felt safe, someone was always in the water with us, guiding the way and pointing out the most beautiful parts of the reef with great care and attention. Ferdinand, our host, was truly outstanding, warm, helpful, on time, and incredibly professional (which really makes a difference in this part of the world). He gave us great tips for the rest of our trip near Waisai, and when no other guides were available, he personally took us to see the bird of paradise. We even had a lovely breakfast with him at the traditional Waisai market — such a special window into local life. Jou Suba isn’t just a beautiful place, it’s a genuine, heartfelt experience. Every detail is taken care of, and you feel it. Highly recommended.
