Luckily all the hotels were full booked so I could find this gem ! Magnificent location , the beach is minutes away . Catherine is a brilliant hostess , her smile and chats are beyond amusing. Defo will be there whenever am in Waterford area.

If you feel like being welcome like a family member in a beautiful country home, this is your stay. I consider myself a well traveled person and I've never been welcome so warmly then when Teresa opened her door. She just has that warming, familiar presence that you feel like you just arrived home! The rooms were comfy and romantic, spotless and the breakfast the best we ate in Ireland! Teresa made us discover one of our best restaurant in Ireland too, the Whitehorses, where we ate the most splendid dinner. You must plan a dinner there, preferably outside if weather permits it. Surprisingly the best surprise of our journey in Ireland as what was supposed to be a pass-through stop became one of our best stay!

Staying at Happy Hill is better than staying at a five-star luxury resort or your own home. The owners are two of the most thoughtful and welcoming people I have ever met and know how to make you feel welcome without ever being intrusive. We arrived after a terrible night in which the little girl had stomach problems, we had to check in at 8pm, we advised that, given the situation, we would do it immediately at 5pm. We showed up, desperate, at 3pm and Anne and Mark were ready. They had changed our room to allow us to manage the situation more comfortably and they were very attentive. The rooms are delightful, furnished with true taste and extremely comfortable. They are very clean, I had to lie down under the bed to retrieve a peluche and I didn't see even a speck of dust. The breakfasts are plentiful and delicious! Ask for the yogurt because, I don't know what they put in it, but it's amazing. The place is quiet and we used it as a base to travel around the south west of Ireland without problems. Go there! You won't regret it!

Very comfortable room with exceptional snacks and breakfast included. Lovely little village and although there is no parking provided by the property I didn't have any problem finding a space close by, just as was suggested. Self Check in/out was very simple and easy.
