A nice little lodge on the water. There are hammocks and there is a kanoo available to explore the water, too. Staff was very helpful in accommodating activities.

Fantastic place with the best, kindest hosts I have met in India! Great place in a quiet village. Delicious breakfasts, lunches and dinners made by the owner are available at the property. Available backwaters tour, island trip, kayaking.... I recommend wholeheartedly.

What a special time we had with Vijesh and his wonderful family at the homestay. I cannot recommend Munroe island and Vijesh’s home enough if you want a genuine authentic backwaters experience. The sunrise boat trip with Vijesh was one of the most memorable things we did in India as well as paddleboarding up the river and swimming in the backwaters. We ate the most delicious home cooked meals. The room was extremely comfortable and the communal spaces were very peaceful with hammocks included. We could do laundry as well which was really appreciated. Vijesh is a lovely person, great to talk to and we loved watching the snake boat races with him. He also helped organise a rickshaw when we had to leave. Going for walks around the home stay was a big highlight too. All in all this was a fantastic experience and we recommend to all!

Our stay at Mundro Garden Homestay was amazing. Deepa and her family were so welcoming and kind. We were always greeted with a smile and a positive attitude. The room was very comfortable and clean and was located in a nice quiet, private corner of the garden. The table and chairs outside offered a great space to relax and eat meals. The homestay offers bicycle rental at a very reasonable 200 rupees per day. The food prepared every day was amazing! Everything we ate was delicious, and we enjoyed trying all of the local Keralan dishes that Deepa and her family made. You must also take the boat tour, it really showcases the beauty of the island. Overall, we absolutely love this homestay and will definitely return if we come back to Kerala!

Property itsefl is very beautiful, very close to the beach. Rooms are nice and well equipped. There is very nice kitchen equipped in everything is needed (with washing machine) and living room. On the second floor you will find an amazing terrace with big table and hammocks. Breakfast is served everyday on the terrace, which are by the way delicious. Best thing of staying here is the greates host I ve ever met. Saajev is very kind, helpful and funny guy who can help you with anything you need, he can arrange the scooters and show you the neighbourhood. honestly we spent 4 nights here and had the best in India. I do really recommend to stay here, we will come back for sure.
