Name one homestay in India that provides its guests with toiletries, fresh towels, slippers, tea-coffee-power milk sachets, an electric cattle, a mini fridge (yes, you heard it right), an iron and an ironing board, a big cupboard with plenty of hangers and extra blankets and pillows? The short answer in Nandini Cottages. The Himalayan view from the rooms and the balcony is breathtaking. The size of the room is much bigger than most flats in our cities. The hospitality of the staff is soooo homely. The complimentary breakfast is great with lots of options. They also cook a handful of dishes for lunch and dinner and the prices are reasonable. The caretakers -- Rajendar and Pramood -- are very efficient and helpful. They always have smiles in their faces, no matter what. On reaching the property, they will receive you at the entrance downstairs and carry all your luggage to your room before helping you with your parking (the property has ample private parking space). On entering the property what one immediately notice is the kind of detailing that has gone into making the homestay on a par with any luxury hotel. Every inch is made with care. Be it the small library, or the photographs/ paintings hung on the walls, the garden/open seating area, the children's play area, the exterior or the interior lighting, the viewpoint, the hiking trail at the backyard, etc. Overall, Nandini Cottages surpassed my expectation. It's the best homestay I've every stayed at.

we loved this staying so much! one of the best in our India travelling. Place is new and very clean, super panoramic view on amazing nature. Very calm, chill, we had so good rest there. A family was so so kind to us, thank you for everything 🙏 Homemade food was the best, try it for sure! Thank you so much and we hope that in future we come again!

Tushar offers a cosy, homely homestay located just behind ancient Dwarahat temple of his ancestors, the Katyuri Kings. His Mother lovingly prepares delicious local dishes, enjoyed around a fire in their home. Tushar sings like a heavenly god, with heart of bhakti. Aarti before dinner and classical devotional songs after. A professional classical singer who travels throughout India giving concerts, he graduated from the famous Benares University in Varanasi. Lovely stay that I would gladly recommend to all. It was hard to believe that a 100 year old house could be converted into a beautiful stay with modern comforts. The house is actually at one edge of a fruit orchard. The magestic himlayan view was outstanding from my room. Everything was neat and clean and comfortable. One of the highlights for me was the attached bathrooms which have a natural look and have light coming in through a sun roof. The delicious food served was a mix of local Kumaoni dishes and regular North Indian dishes. Sunder ji, the owner of the property was present on site. He and the caretaker, Bhupal Singh ji made sure our stay was very comfortable. They also guided us and provided all the information on places of interest and the easy hikes nearby. Overall, Tranquil Peaks was a great experience. Highly recommended!

The name justifies quite well! The place is beyond heaven. Firstly its location, right at the heart close to all the facilities as well as view points. The host is a delight. Its a home like feeling, everyone is so nice and loving.
