The common use rooftop. Met lots of interesting people. Of all ages. Good for exchange of information and just for playing games and conversations. Had a nice one-on-one Hatha yoga with Sofi who works there. Also on the rooftop at the open space by the tents on the roof (which some guests sometimes stay in for half the price. They said it was lovely too.

I really enjoyed my stay in this nice homestay. It is quietly located, overlooking a coffee plantation from my balcony, but everything within easy walking distance. The apartment was very clean, cozy and spacious and my host a very lovely and friendly woman. Right next door her nice sister runs a restaurant where you can eat very well. I just can recommend this wonderful place.

A wonderful homestay surrounded by lush green hills and a peaceful garden with lots of exotic spice and fruit plants. Breakfast (included) and dinner were great, the dishes were seasoned with spices from the own garden. Our host George was very helpful with getting rides to the National Park and even a taxi to Aleppey for our departure.

The room was very spacious and clean, the bed is massive. Its very new and modern. The bathroom was the best one we had during the whole trip. Girish and Sunila are such nice people. They were so helpful. Girish helped us organise our trip to the National Park and advised on onward travel. He even followed up to see if we got there alright. Sunila cooked very tasty breakfasts and served them in their own home. - something different every day, always traditional Kerala food. The location is in a quiet residential area, a bit away from the main roads. The bus station and main road is only a 10 minute walk away. Places to eat and shop are plentiful and close by.

Jobin, Binsi and their family were amazing hosts. Extremely welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. Including organising a cooking class, spice tour and transport for us as well as helping with booking activities within Periyar National Park. The homestay was very clean and well kept with lovely terraces to sit on and have breakfast. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Thekkady/Kumily.

I can easily say that Mr. Suresh and his family were the nicest hostes (apart from my in-laws) that I had in India! They were the sweetest; helped me book tickets, gave me nice recommendations for food, and were really sympathetic. During my stay, I got sick (nothing related to the accommodation), and they even made me rice soup so I could get better. Apart from them, I was nicely surprised with the room: the bed was huge and comfortable, the water was always hot and the pressure was amazing. The view to the garden made my nights and early mornings. If I ever go back to Thekkady I'd like to stay in Green View again!

Ferndale is a great place to stay. Located in a lush and quiet neighbourhood. Dexter and Debby have been very thoughtful hosts. I highly recommand Ferndale if you're looking for a homestay in the Kumily / Thekaddy area.

The host Mr. Shyam was very helpful in organising the trip and he assisted us very well. The homestay was very calm and located a bit away from chaiotic main town. Clean rooms and easy enterly happy with the stay and service. We were given access to cook food for ourself as we took our 5 month old child.

The host Mr. Abbas is a very good and polite human. Everything was perfect as per price. Room and toilet were clean and equipped with hot water facilities. Room was spacious and well comfort. I must recommend this homestay if you are a budget traveler and wanting a homely environment.

The best homestay you could find in India. Very clean, comfortable rooms and a lovely rooftop social area. Afsal is a fantastic host. He makes you feel at home immediately. He has good knowledge of activities in the area and is well respected by the locals. Like most guests, we wanted to extend our stay, and we were sad to leave. I highly recommend 👌
