Top experience is Kerala. There is a real nice backpacking / chill vibe. They combine nice, clean private rooms, with a nice common area with lots of comfortable options to hang out. The owners are super chill and one of the highlights of this place. This place attracts a lot of chill people, and it is super easy to connect, and for me that made my stay in Thekkady exceptional. For me this was exactly what I was looking for

A beautiful modern villa set in green and quiet neighborhood. We loved having access to filtered water to refill our bottles and a kettle to boil water. Ben and his wife are very warm and helpful hosts and Ben is very knowledgeable of the area.

The room was spacious and very, very clean. The balcony was the perfect spot to relax and listen to the birds and monkeys (and even spot one every once in a while!). Kumari, the owner, was very helpful. The location is excellent - it is walking distance to the bus station and to the ecotourism office and meeting point for the activities in the park.

Our favourite stay in India! We loved this homestay. The rooms were lovely, clean and modern with authentic charm. The food was consistently great. We are there for breakfast and dinner every day. George is a fabulous host and organised everything we needed. In a charming street not far out from Kumily.

Best choice in Thekkady. Green View offers an EXCELLENT value for the money. The location is close to everything while being in a quieter area. The hotel had the HOTTEST WATER we had on our three week trip in India - it was divine having a perfect, reliable steaming hot shower. The owner is also incredibly kind and honest. He helped us book tickets for local cultural events, gave us ideas of what to do in the city, and set up a car for us to go to Ft. Kochi after our stay. Everything he recommended had a great price -- in fact, we saved 1000 rupees when we booked our driver through him. The room was simple but spacious, and it had a fantastic balcony from which we were able to see the less common black monkeys.

Ferndale is a great place to stay. Located in a lush and quiet neighbourhood. Dexter and Debby have been very thoughtful hosts. I highly recommand Ferndale if you're looking for a homestay in the Kumily / Thekaddy area.

The host Mr. Shyam was very helpful in organising the trip and he assisted us very well. The homestay was very calm and located a bit away from chaiotic main town. Clean rooms and easy enterly happy with the stay and service. We were given access to cook food for ourself as we took our 5 month old child.

The host Mr. Abbas is a very good and polite human. Everything was perfect as per price. Room and toilet were clean and equipped with hot water facilities. Room was spacious and well comfort. I must recommend this homestay if you are a budget traveler and wanting a homely environment.

The best homestay you could find in India. Very clean, comfortable rooms and a lovely rooftop social area. Afsal is a fantastic host. He makes you feel at home immediately. He has good knowledge of activities in the area and is well respected by the locals. Like most guests, we wanted to extend our stay, and we were sad to leave. I highly recommend 👌
