It feels incredibly authentic. For anyone staying here, I'd just say trust the process, the host is the sweetest little old man who hosts really fun karaoke evenings. It wasn't what we expected going into it but this place gave us some great laughs and memories for life.

I like our room, it was clean and nice with touch of traditional Japanese room and has a view of the garden and mountain. It is really relaxing trip for us in Hakone. The staff were very friendly and accomodating.

A Beautiful, serene and magical place. Waking up here at 5 a.m. to see the fog roll over the mountain Infront of the glassy lake is a dream come true! The host was very kind and helpful and provided us a space to park for our rental car. The facilities was also very clean and the kitchen is complete for any type of food preparing activity. There are also blanket heaters provided for sleep. A traditional house which is comfortable to stay. I do hope there is some communication or guide a bit when we arrive/leave because we are not sure if it was ok to just barge in since the host was not around to receive us, but it was not too much of a problem since we did informed him we would arrive late and he came later that night to greet us and ensure we are settle in. Overall it was an experience that i will never forget staying there and I hope to come again in the future.

Easy check in/out process, high quality of vegetables, smooth bath water, comfortable beds and adequate space heaters. The outside view from our room was amazing. Everything was good and just right. Very clean sleeping and shower and toilet areas. the staff are super helpful and definitely recommend staying here.

Location was perfect to go around Yamanaka lake, very near the bus stop. Some shops and convenience stores nearby. Both the hosts speak good English , very nice and accommodating. The place was very cozy, rental cycles and Mt Fuji view!
