Great experience staying in a quiet and friendly community. It was everything we hoped for and more. We got up at six to ring the bell, and it was really special. After that, Asami's husband told us that we were welcome to join the local residents in their morning exercise, and we did. It was such a nice surprise! We enjoyed the great sense of community here. Later during the temple experience, we learned a lot about the local temple culture. I would highly recommend their guesthouse to anyone interested in having an in-depth understanding of local Japanese communities.

The owners were so friendly and caring! It was such a lovely experience staying with them! If you want to have a relaxing day in a countryside area and just want to experience the laid back life there I recommend you to stay there. Besides it's not far to go to lake biwa by a little walking and to go to imazu to catch a ferry to chikubu Island.

The property is super spacious and Taka san is the most friendly and chill host you can ask for! I was walking on the way to the house then he ride a bicycle midway to greet and assist with my luggage. He explained everything very clearly and allow me to borrow the bicycle to see around the area, which I love and did at night and in the morning!! Overall, for its price it is super worth it as it is only 10-15 mins walk from the nearest train station. Of course, it depends on your purpose and this one fulfills mine! The area itself is unique and super quiet, the perfect kind I was looking for to slow down before the next super packed day!!

+the place was clean +there was a washing machine and detergent +shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothpaste were available +has a kettle, microwave, fridge and you could use a cooking pan if you pay ¥500 for the gas. Also a TV! +there was a balcony +friendly staff -sometimes hot water would not come out of the shower even if you waited a long time -the bed was a bit uncomfortable -kinda far from the centre, but there is a bus stop right next to it and also a Lawson across the street

A perfect countryside Japanese farmhouse stay. By far the best stay of my trip here. Owners are so kind and go above and beyond to make you feel at home. They prepare your bath, take you shopping, and even to rent a bicycle and then to the train station on my last day. Amazing people. The classical music and the view every morning are just exquisite. Could not be happier. Incredible value for your money also.
