The hosts were absolutely amazing and spent plenty of time accommodating us. They made sure we were comfortable, offered some lovely chats fluently in English. There are even some home comforts for the English out there. They also offered tons of advice on what to do in the area. The room was spacious and clean, with customisable set up using the futons.

The seven eleven and eel restaurant is between 15 minutes distance on foot. And my trip goal is join the local firefly festival. Also within 15 mins route between 15 mins . Mutsumi our host was so friendly and accommodating, spending time with us making origami dinosaurs and then sharing her kimono wearing with my sister and daughter. Her home is very close to the Matsumoto art gallery with its amazing Yayoi Kusama collection, and within walking distance to both Matsumoto Castle and Matsumoto train station. The floor based bedding and blankets in the large tatami room were super comfortable, and shared kitchen, bathroom and toilet were clean and well appointed.

I liked the provided ear plugs self check-in was easy and available bikes were useful. It was comfortable.

There is everything to like here. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The meals in the restaurant next door (same complex) were wonderful. The slow cooked beef was the best steak dish I have had in Japan. The staff here were also professional and friendly. English was no problem. I highly recommend staying here. We will be back!
