The accommodation was exceptional. The apartment is modern, tastefully designed, and furnished with great attention to detail, creating both a stylish and homely atmosphere. All the furniture is custom-made. The hot tub with lights is perfect for two. The fridge was stocked with water, beer, and tea, and there was also a coffee machine with coffee. Slippers, terrace sandals, bathrobes, and even kimonos for all guests were provided – a very thoughtful touch. Check-in and check-out were simple and self-service, which was ideal as we arrived late and left early. We would have loved to stay longer, but our plans were already made. Highly recommended, even for demanding guests.

We absolutely loved our stay at KAYA Takayama! The place feels like a warm hug – beautiful design, peaceful atmosphere, and such kind, welcoming staff. Everything was so thoughtful, from the room details to the overall vibe. It really made our time in Takayama unforgettable. Hope to come back one day!     Lovely host. Was very welcoming and the rooms were very clean and felt traditional. They let us leave our bags there after we had checked out so we could explore Takayama more which was nice. Well located within a short walk from stores, the bus station and the nice areas with all the little shops.
