It was amazing for 100%. Feeling like a VIP guest and the closest friend through all the time we stayed here. You could just think about something and it is already done :) Host Nelson cooked awesome unforgettable dinners for us with seafood served with flowers - it was masterpiece on the plate and super tasty! And his wife was so kind to provide us with great recommendations, both were ready to help with anything we need. Ocean is very near and nice beach restaurant is in 150m from the hotel where you lay in the shadow and have a smoothie. We enjoyed all 3 days we stayed in La Perla a lot, and would recommend this accommodation for anyone who will come to Bentota. All the best for Nelson, Alexandra and La Perla!

Almost everything! The whole family made our stay incredible, felt a bit like being around your own family. -Food is healthy and home cooked every single day, breakfast is amazing. There’s too much option to choose from. Baba, our day to day server, even jumped up to climb trees to get us some fresh coconuts. -Room is immaculate, you won’t find any dust and they clean everyday. It’s a nice feeling coming home from a day trip. We found almost no mosquitoes or insects at all. -Shower, it can be really hot shower above 8 o’clock in the morning, try to take your shower early. We enjoyed our outdoor shower, birds chirping and the river behind the property makes it really sound idyllic. -Location, it’s a bit in the middle of nowhere (which we enjoy), but you can easily access the road and the beach within 10 mins, and they provide tuk tuk (or car) to transfer to the nearest beach which is handy. - Staff! Shout out to Roshana, Baba, and Ishuru to name a few! Amazing people and very good at they do. The family provides recommendations for trips all around the country. They literary took us everyone, which we found super convenient and well priced. Overall, we were super impressed by this little gem!

I think this is the most comfortable room I’ve stayed in during my trip to Sri Lanka. Spotlessly clean, super comfy bed and great AC. Also the owners are extremely welcoming and kind, and they run a little patisserie from the house with the most tasty home made pastries and drinks.

I would say that Charika Villa is just a perfect example of hospitality. The room is lovely, the furniture is new and pleasant to use, and the bathroom is great size and even has a heater. The host is amazingly supportive. He found us a great surf instructor and helped us with transport but never promoted unwanted services. The breakfast was also great and peacocks and squirrels running around were so lovely. If you are looking for a place where you can rest you mind - that is a great choice.

It was a nice and comfortable place with a great atmosphere inside the hostel. The staff were friendly, kind, and helpful. My backpack got torn, and the lady at the hostel kindly repaired it for me, which was a really big help. The food there was very delicious and homemade. There was hot water in the shower. The beds had mosquito nets, which is a great feature. The bed also had clean sheets. I arrived early in the morning and was warmly welcomed.
