Lovely guesthouse. The room was new, comfortable, and fresh - made for a good night's sleep with a comfy bed. Homemade breakfast was lovely, and both the hostess and her assistant were really attentive. There's also a shared kitchen and living area for guests, though we didn't use the kitchen ourselves.

It’s a gem! There’s always something quirky at every corner, it’s amazing! Stayed there on my birthday and they greeted us with a nice deco on the bed. Besides that, we were also given 2 jars of homemade chutney and jam after we returned from dinner. Let’s talk about dinner at their sister company Sanctuarii - my partner and i dined there two nights in a row because everything was exceptional. U can’t find cocktails better than there, food was amazing, atmosphere was eclectic (just like the house), and service is definitely top-notch! On the second night, i requested if they could fix the Netflix in the room and they sure did. The staff, especially Imran, have been very friendly and helpful. I can’t find anything negative to say about my stay here and would gladly return again. :)

We appreciate the beautiful design of the accommodation, very pleasant and helpful staff, we were given towels for the pool. The breakfast was very tasty, we could choose what we liked. There were clean towels, soap, shampoo in the bathroom. We lacked nothing.

What an absolutely lovely stay. My only regret is that we didn't stay here longer. We arrived at Sayura House at the tail end of our Sri Lanka trip with some part of our 13-people family. The rooms were comfortable, the staff were friendly and hospitable, the space was beautiful, and the inhouse restaurant food was fantastic. Highly recommended stay!

Looking for history without kitsch I discovered this discrete Guesthouse . Away from the crowds of Colombo, the spacious room and antique charm gave me a fantastic rest after exploring Sri Lanka’s capital. The host was incredibly friendly and helpful with everything and the welcome was lovely. The room is exceptional, large and spotlessly clean, with bottled water and tea making facilities provided. It opens onto a pretty interior garden courtyard. The bathroom is totally unique with a designer shower made from natural stone. We were free to come and go as we pleased and we could not have asked for a better arrival in Colombo.

    It’s a wonderful house. I didn’t realize it was a home stay, but was very grateful it was for my list night in Sri Lanka. When I walked in, music was playing and the water sounds coming from the indoor garden’s pond immediately made me feel like I had stepped out of the busy city and into an oasis. Relaxing house with lots of nooks and crannies, areas to curl up and read a book. I wish I had spent another night.
