We had a really wonderful stay at Silver Rail. The room was very big and very comfortable. The family who runs it was so welcoming, they offered us tea and a delicious breakfast. They even showed us how to make the pancakes we loved so that we can try to make them at home later 😋The location was good, we could walk to the Fort everyday. If your destination is Galle, then look no further; this is the perfect place to stay. Just a brief 5-minute bus ride from Galle Railway Station, it offers unparalleled convenience. From the moment we arrived, we felt like part of the family, warmly welcomed and cared for. The breakfast spread was a highlight of our 15-day journey through Sri Lanka, featuring an array of delicious offerings including fruit, coconut sweet rolls, pancakes, toast, eggs, fresh juice, noodles, and fried vegetables, all enjoyed against a backdrop of stunning beach and sea views. Opting for dinner was a decision we didn't regret; the noodles and rice curry were simply outstanding. With direct access to the beach, guests can relax, swim, and witness breathtaking sunsets framed by swaying coconut trees. For the ultimate experience, I highly recommend selecting a room with a beach view. The spacious, comfortable bed, amenities like a fridge, and excellent bathroom facilities exceeded our expectations. If I find myself in Galle again, this will undoubtedly be my top choice for accommodation. Your genuine smile and the heartfelt hug you shared with us as we departed will forever remain etched in our memories. It’s a very calm and clean accommodation in a nice green neighbourhood. The family is just lovely and makes you feel very welcome. We liked that it’s not located in the crowded fort but in easily walking distance. Despite the other comments it was super easy to find with google maps. The room was very comfortable, huge nice bed and a strong AC, we had the bathroom downstairs but it was not problem at all. We had the best breakfast in a month there (omelette, banana pancakes, coconut roti, fruit …). We would definitely recommend this place!

This was a last minute booking but one of the loveliest places we stayed. Our stay was only for one evening but that was enough to feel like part of the family. Aroshina is always smiling. Such a lovely person. We mainly went there for the cooking class which was great. We cooked, chatted and laughed for hours. Definately hope to return one day soon! The beds and pillows were really comfy and quiet A/C.
