10/10 stay. From the moment we arrived we were so warmly welcomed by Hemaka with a cake and iced coffee, we knew we would enjoy our stay. He made sure our entire stay was seamless and helped in every aspect possible. The room was large and had incredible views over Kandy and the hills. The water filter is a big win if you run out of drinking water. And the pool is the perfect temperate and so scenic. 5 minute walk down the hill to Hideout cafe - delicious breakfast or lunch. A massive thank you to Hemaka again for making our stay in Kandy so pleasant.

Spacious, newly built place. Host is a lovely man, his family are very nice and wanted to make us comfortable. We could use the kitchen to make tea, heat our takeaways. Tea and water was offered. Views are amazing.

Sudesh and his family truly embody what hospitality is all about! 🙌 Our first stop in Sri Lanka was Kandy, and I remember calling my family back home to rave about how amazing our host was. From the moment we arrived, Sudesh and his family made us feel incredibly welcome. They were always there for us—whether it was arranging a tuk-tuk (sometimes even for free if someone else was going in the same direction), offering great recommendations, or treating us to a delicious spread of authentic Sri Lankan dishes. Communication was always easy and fast, and Sudesh was available by text or phone call anytime, which really made us feel safe and at ease. The room was so comfortable, the washroom spotless, and the air conditioning worked perfectly—everything was just spot on. But let me tell you about the food! If you stay with Sudesh, *do not* miss the lunch! I can't stress this enough—it was honestly the best meal I've ever had, and I might have gone into a food coma afterward. Sudesh’s mom went above and beyond, making extra dishes just for us, and they were so excited to share their cooking. It felt like visiting family who are eager to spoil you with their best recipes. The complimentary breakfast was also incredible—I've never seen such a generous spread! Unfortunately, we were only able to stay for one night, and I really wish we could have extended our time there. I absolutely recommend staying here if you're in Kandy. It’s peaceful, beautiful, and you'll be taken care of by some of the kindest hosts you could ask for. 100% would stay again!

The couple who own / run this place are the pinnacle of Sri Lankan, buddhist friendliness. This artfully decorated villa immediately feels home as soon as you step inside the premise. A beautiful place, recently opened and has been set up to a very high standard. Huge, comfy bed, silky soft sheets, brand new bathroom with the best water pressure I’ve found anywhere in Sri Lanka and also plenty of hot water, free toiletries. Excellent air conditioning. There was a kettle and range of Ceylon teas provided in the room too - perfect for my early morning brew whilst looking out at the sunrise from bed. Also has a big TV with worldwide channels although I didn’t really use it, too busy exploring! The rooftop terrace has stunning views across Kandy, very nice to sit out and watch the sunset here. The host was super welcoming and his wife made the most delicious breakfasts. Went the extra mile when I didn’t find a 3 wheeler to the station in time for my train, and dropped me off in his car! Thank you Pravin and team (& sorry if I’ve spelled your name wrong!) Location was fab, a little up hill out of the busy city centre, so super quiet and yet very easy to travel to all the attractions in the area either on foot or by 3 wheeler. Will definitely stay again next time in the area, great find!

It was one of our best stay. Sri was so helpful and friendly. He picked us up in the city, when we arrived and droped us off when we took the train to Ella. He also organised us train tickets and made our laundry. And the Breakfast was amazing! Typical Sri Lankan food. Thank you Sri for this two days!

Great location, they suggest a lot of activities and shower is great ( good pressure, hot water and super clean) the dorms are smal but super clean and you can manage the space for laguage with other host.
