Lovely, accommodating family. Looked after us well. Host took us on an informal safari trip to see animals truly in the wild and history of local boulders. Great pool. Excellent food. Beautiful unspoilt beach but not for swimming.

We had a wonderful stay! The family was incredibly warm and welcoming – a lovely couple, with a kind (I think) German lady and her friendly local husband. The property is beautiful, surrounded by lush greenery and a peaceful garden setting. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The homemade food was absolutely delicious and made with so much love. They even helped us organize a safari tour and thoughtfully packed a picnic breakfast for us to take along, which was such a sweet touch. Highly recommend staying here for a cozy, homely experience in nature.

Wonderful, quiet, cozy apartament surrounded by rice fiedle. It is small familliar hotel with large rooms. Swimming pool is big, and clean, and next to room. Very tasty breakfast. During the whole stay our hoste prepared the best tea witht milk for our children. Wery nice atmosphere.

Absolutely great place! Big room, big bathroom, nice hot shower and very clean. Perfect location in the rice paddies and close to town. The family and Nilusha is super nice and will do anything to let you have a wonderful stay. Although it is not far, they even drove us by car to the busstation.

The best stay in Sri Lanka. The host was very attentive and kind. The room was very clean and big, and had a safari vibe🙂. The food was absolutely delicious - fish with pineapples was my favourite. The host organised our safari, wake us in early morning, gave us breakfast to go, and we had lunch after trip. We met an elephant on way back to hotel, and fed him with bananas. So I recommend not to eat bananas and save it for elephants) I’d recommend to stay there for 2 or 3 days, cause after safari you want to rest and lay in hammock. I”ll return to stay here, I’m sure)

Room was very spacious (could fit up to three beds), beds were very comfortable and the general cleanliness was up to standard. Host was friendly and quick to attend to my needs. I am very satisfied with my stay at Yala Grand Homestay.

    We recently had the pleasure of staying at this remarkable homestay tucked away in the heart of nature. From the moment we arrived, we were amazed by surroundings, all the beautiful details and the tranquil ambiance that enveloped the entire place. However, what truly made our stay unforgettable was the mesmerizing encounter with a resident crocodile. Karin and Santha are the loveliest hosts - it felt like family and we can’t wait to come back!
