Set in beautiful location, surrounded by jungle. Room was super clean. Breakfast amazing with different varieties such as eggs, fruit, coconut pancakes, big pot of good strong coffee and much more. It takes 3 minutes to walk to the main road. Restaurants and atm walking distance. Sigiriya rock again walking distance. Host was amazing, helpful and kind. I would definitely go back. We loved it there.

The host and staff were incredibly helpful with everything from planning tours and activities to driving us to the ATM or the city when needed. For the Safari, the owner got us an amazing guide who was very knowledgeable! The hotel is located in really beautiful tranquil surroundings and we just really enjoyed our stay! Clean and nice rooms with beautiful and comfortable colonial-style beds. They served a really nice breakfast and lovely dinner.

Dew ashi is a very authentic homestay which we totally loved. It is a bit out of town in a rural area, but this was not a problem as Chaaru the owner will transport you into town or sites (for a small fee) such as pidurangula or Sigirya rock if you need- he is readily contactable through WhatsApp. The room and bathroom are clean with mosquito nets on each bed. Tharu and Chaaru with their 2 young daughters made our experience extremely positive and memorable. They were warm and welcoming. We were there over the New Year celebrations which added extra cultural experiences including a traditional celebratory buffet breakfast. They provide filtered water to refill, and large delicious Sri Lankan breakfast. We also loved having a jug in our room to make tea and coffee. When we went on safari they made toasted sandwiches to take for lunch and soursop juice as a pre safari treat. Yum!! Chaaru arranged a brilliant elephant safari with his brother Patum in Hurulu eco park. This was recommended due to the recent heavy rain with elephants moving from Mineriya to this park. We were treated to many elephant sightings very close to our jeep. He seemed to know exactly where to find them. The pool was beautiful, clean with seats poolside. Tharu ran an amazing and informative cooking class and garden tour. We made using traditional techniques 6 different curries, coconut roti and coconut sambal and we feasted on this at the end. We could not recommend Dew Ashi more highly.

This lovely home stay stays in our hearts for a long time. Family was so welcoming and we helt very safe and like home while staying here. Host helped us with everything and let us have their services the whole next day after staying. She also helped us to find services that we wanted and always wanted the best quality for our money. She booked us a safari and helped to choose the best one for us Dinner and breakfast were amazing and we also got extra lunch when asked. Kids took us to see their village and garden. Those were such a lovely tours! Garden and a view were great. If you want to stay and enjoy your time with heartful family, this is the place. We would come back anytime!
